San Pedro Art Association Gallery at Crafted

Harbor Wide Student Receptions

SPAA has been holding receptions for the student art shows at Crafted since 2013. This year the pandemic has forced us to change the show. This year,  it is just the cash prize winners in each educational level  - elementary, middle and high school that we are framing and exhibiting.  In the past, we framed over a hundred pieces of artwork each year and there have been hundreds of students, teachers, family and friends attending the reception.

This year we are exhibiting all the art work on line on our gallery pages and they will  be part of a continuing exhibition that anyone can enjoy throughout the year. We are also providing every student in the show with a ribbon, art set, art papers, a student membership in SPAA and a certificate of recognition from the California State Assembly courtesy of Assemblyman Patrick o'Donnell.  We are also offering prints of the artwork for sale with the money generated going toward producing future student art shows and activities.

We hope you enjoy the show. It has proven to be very popular with the community  and continues to grow.  It also provides inspiration to students to pursue their artistic dreams and realize that art  is one of the things that makes life worth living.

We are hoping to return to the full  live show and reception next year as well as doing an on line version. SPAA hopes that students will continue to be motivated to participate and realize that their art is both worthy of recognition as well as being meaningful.

SPAA Gallery at Crafted

SPAA has been around since 1936 and has had a number of "homes" over the years. We now have a gallery at Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles where over thirty of our artists display and sell their creations to the public in a separate gallery space. We also have members who operate their own booths and sell their works individually. The bottom line is that all the work available at Crafted is made by local artists who offer it as unique and handmade arts and crafts. We hope you take the opportunity to visit our spaces, view our creations and take home a bit of originality.
